The Audi all road models may no longer be produced by Audi, but they are the image and standard that has been seen throughout the world. The all road, or Quattro, has been one of the cars that took dominance in the market during the 1980’s through the early 1990’s. This is a car that has been in a number of rallys and has gained a number of awards. It has been the spearhead that Audi used to not just gain attention in the market, but to gain a level of dominance in most of Europe and also parts of the United States. Considered to be one of the most sought after cars in Eastern Europe, the Quattro models have continued to have a high demand even after more than fifteen years of discontinued production.

To compete in one of the world’s most difficult rally events, the 2007 TransSyberian Rally, Porsche Cars of North America (PCNA) will be fielding three specially prepared Cayennes. Beginning August 3, and covering 3,850 miles of forest, desert, mountains, and plains, the route will pit the Cayennes against 47 other entrants on the 15 day expedition from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
The Gumball 3000 was founded in 1999 by Maximillion Cooper, an ex-Armani model, who was inspired by the “Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash”, an unofficial, almost outlawed, coast to coast road race from New York to Los Angeles that took place four times during the 1970s before being cancelled due to concerns over road safety from police.
2008 has come and gone, many things have changed. But one particular movie stood out because of its plot. The car joins the Monte Carlo rally. As a precocious little kid, I also recall asking my parents what rallying meant? And my mother, who instilled in me the discipline of doing research at an early age told me, “Dear, why don’t you look it up at the dictionary?” That was how I found out about rallying as a sport, which has flourished to this day.
